The PAXcam USB Digital Microscope Camera

The USB 2.0 interface produces faster transfer rates than IEEE1394 Firewire or SCSI cameras. That means PAXcam provides you with a smooth real time display for image previewing on your desktop monitor or laptop, while providing excellent high-quality and high-resolution images. Now with resolutions up to 20 mp, the PAXcam digital microscope camera line offers you choices in resolution and image size.

With 16 years of digital imaging experience, MIS designed PAXcam specifically for use with microscope or macro lens applications. It allows the user to easily capture the picture that you see through the eyepieces of almost any microscope. Whether your microscope is an Olympus, Leica, Zeiss, Nikon or other brand, PAXcam’s standard c-mount connection makes for an easy and inexpensive installation. The superb color rendition, easy-to-use interface, and unique one-of-a-kind features make it unlike any other USB microscope camera. User controls like a focus meter, auto white balance, auto exposure mode, and easy manual adjustments of contrast, saturation, exposure are all at your fingertips. Settings can be saved and restored so that you can easily switch sample types or lighting conditions.

Using a standard c-mount adapter, you can easily connect this camera to a stereozoom microscope, metallograph or standard upright microscope. Since it uses standard USB 2.0, connecting it to your desktop or laptop is simple. Within minutes, you will be using PAXcam to collect your high resolution digital images.

PAXcam also has unique features like being able to create customized image overlays for alignment, reference or image comparison. You can place a micron marker or other user-defined overlays on your live image for quick visual comparisons. See example of this feature.
