With
PAX-it, adding annotations or “videotext” to your
PAX-it images is easy. Simply click on the appropriate icon on
the videotext toolbar and draw right on the image to produce
overlays of circles, arrows, text, and more. The annotation tools
allow you to easily highlight features or mark up an image as
an aid in communicating with others.
Image
annotations are stored as an overlay in PAX-it so that
your original image is never altered. PAX-it will automatically
save your changes so that you don’t have to continually
resave your images.

Since
the annotations are stored on an overlay, the original image
data is maintained
and not overwritten
when annotations are produced. As a separate overlay file, videotext
annotations can be easily edited or deleted even months or years
after they are in place. They can also be “turned off” so
that the original unmarked image can be viewed. Overlays are printable
in reports using the PAX-it report generation feature, and overlays
may be saved and designated as templates for applying
to multiple images! Measurements from the PAX-it measurement module function like the rest of the annotations.
