VILLA PARK, IL – MIS, Inc. announces the release of PAX-it Version 7.2, which is the 44th major release version of the industry-leading digital imaging software solution since its introduction. PAX-it Image Database Software and Image Analysis Software (www.paxit.com) is used in thousands of organizations around the world, meeting the digital imaging needs of users in microscopy applications like materials science, sperm analysis, forensics, automotive, pathology, welding, aerospace, defense, pharmaceutical, life science, semiconductor and medical devices. PAX-it is used to manage and analyze large collections of digital images and files, in stand-alone applications and across corporate networks. PAX-it works with digital and analog cameras of all kinds, but is most often used with the PAXcam family of digital microscope cameras (www.paxcam.com) for a fully-integrated solution. "We are pleased with the way PAX-it and PAXcam brands have continued to flourish, even in a very trying global economic environment", states Chris Jahns, Sr. Vice President of Sales. "In these times, organizations more than ever are looking for tools that allow them to be more productive, manage their time and assets better, and help to accomplish their organization's objectives with ease and skill. Our products continue to deliver that value proposition. PAX-it Version 7.2 offers even more powerful features that our existing and potential customers will really appreciate."
PAX-it Version 7.2 is fully compatible with the new Microsoft Windows7 operating system, and addresses the handling of extremely large images (40+ megapixels) in a new way that minimizes the use of computer resources. A new graphing capability makes data manipulation, display and documentation interactive for users of our Image Analysis software. An Edge Detection feature allows for individual selection and analysis of particles in an image. Changes have been made to the measurement grid feature that has been part of PAX-it for many years, so that the user can save the grids with images and overlay them on the live PAXcam preview. For users of PAXcam USB 2.0 digital microscope cameras, PAX-it Version 7.2 introduces a high-powered new video recorder and player that allow the user to capture and view high-resolution video clips at super fast frame rates, something not previously available. "Video capture and frame extraction are quite commonplace in most of our core market applications, so we are excited to offer this new capability to our customers", says Mike Hansen, Vice President of Product Development. "There are many other product enhancements in PAX-it Version 7.2 that have come from the suggestions of our customers and dealer partners. We will continue to develop our products to anticipate and meet their growing, changing needs."
